About the Programme

The Master of Science in Information Technology (M.Sc. IT) is a postgraduate program spanning two years, focusing on advanced concepts in IT and its applications. It covers topics such as software development, data analysis, network security, cloud computing, and IT project management. M.Sc. IT graduates are equipped with specialized skills and knowledge to excel in various roles such as IT consultants, systems analysts, data scientists, and cybersecurity specialists. Through a blend of theoretical learning and practical experience, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership abilities essential for success in the rapidly evolving IT landscape. Program Outcomes

1. Domain Knowledge
Apply computer science techniques, algorithmic principles in the modeling and design of computer based solutions and applications.
2. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
Apply problem-solving and technical skills to analyze a computer application related problems and propose feasible computing solutions using fundamental principles of mathematics and computing sciences.
3. Application Development
Design and complete the solution within the specified time frame with financial constraints.
4. Modern Tool Usage
Inculcate and apply Modern IT and Computing tools for solving complex problems.
5. Web Development Skills
Graduates will have a deep understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js, enabling them to develop dynamic and interactive web applications.
6. Networking Knowledge
Graduates will possess a solid understanding of computer networks and network protocols, allowing them to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructures.
7. Communication
Ability to communicate effectively in both manner, verbally and written, to provide integrated solution to customers/users or peers.

Duration of Course

The total duration of the course is 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree. OR Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University). Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the qualifying Examin
