Admission Process Guidelines

International students must mandatorily apply through the official Study in India (SII) Portal. If a student is facing any issue, they can email any member of the International Affairs for assistance.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Visit Portal

Visit the official Study in India portal at studyinindia.gov.in.

Student Registration

Click on "Student Registration" on the portal homepage to begin your enrollment process.

Account Creation

Fill in all the required details to register on the portal & obtain your unique Login ID & Password.

Select Gokul Global

Sign in with your credentials. Select Gokul Global University & start your application for the desired Program.

Upload Documents

Complete the application form & upload all relevant documents for eligibility verification by the university.

Unique ID Generation

A unique ID will be generated by the system, which is mandatory later for your student visa application.

Provisional Offer

Accept the issued Provisional Offer Letter (Conditional/Unconditional) on the portal within 30 days of issuance.

Initial Payment

Make the fee payment prescribed in the offer letter via bank/wire transfer or online, then upload your receipt to the portal.

Final Admission & Visa

Use the Final Admission Letter issued on the SII Portal to apply for a Student Visa at your nearest Indian Embassy.

Remaining Fees

Pay remaining fees after getting your visa. If the portal lacks an upload option, email receipts to [email protected]).

Flight & Pickup

Book your flight and inform the Office of International Affairs well in advance for airport pickup arrangements from Ahmedabad.

Campus Verification

Upon arrival in India & reaching campus, visit the Office of International Affairs first to submit original documents for verification.

Pre-Arrival Information

Students should make sure about the following points before leaving their home country to ensure a smooth transition to Gokul Global University.

Travel & Logistics

Airport Proximity: Gokul Global University is just a two and half hours drive from Ahmedabad International Airport (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport). Book your ticket here after obtaining a Valid Student Visa.
Pickup Notification: Inform the Office of International Relations for Airport pickup at least one week prior to arrival and provide complete flight details.
Currency & Money: Carry money in the form of Travelers Cheques (redeemable at the airport/banks) or use International Debit / Credit Cards.
Initial Essentials: Whilst everything is available in India, try to pack items you will strictly require during your initial few days.

Documents, Health & Gear

Academic Assets & Photos: Bring the Final Admission Letter issued by the University along with all original Certificates/Degrees, Transcripts, and 15-20 passport size photographs.
Mandatory Vaccinations: Take all required vaccinations (Yellow Fever, Typhoid Vaccine, Hepatitis Vaccine, etc.) to avoid medical complications while in India.
Weather Preparedness: Summers range between 35°C to 45°C; winters drop to 10°C to 25°C. Winter starts around November, so bring warm materials (blankets, quilts, woolens) accordingly.
Electricity Standard: Systems operate on 240 V using 2 or 3 pin sockets. Bring a voltage adapter/converter if your home country's devices run on alternative standards.

Post-Arrival Requirements

Airport Pickup & Reception

After reaching Ahmedabad International Airport (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport), the University will arrange Airport Pickup for students who have shared their flight details with the Office for International Affairs or International Students Affairs Cell (ISAC) well in advance.

Reporting & Document Verification

Students will report to the Office of International Affairs or International Affairs Students Cell (ISAC) along with all the required documents and interact with the reporting officer.

The documents will be checked and verified by ISAC staff. Students will fill out the registration form and submit the required documents after reading them carefully to get registered in their respective programs.

FRRO Registration (Mandatory)

It is mandatory for all International students except those from Nepal and Bhutan to get their Student Visa registered at FRRO Ahmedabad within 14 days of arrival in India. The University will guide and assist students with all the required processes.

Medical Checkup & Insurance

Student has to report to the International Students Affairs Cell (ISAC) for a Medical Checkup and also can collect their Medical Insurance Card.

Admission Deadlines & Fine Compliance

Students joining the university after the prescribed time period may be denied admission.

It is the prime responsibility of the student to visit the International Students Affairs Cell (ISAC) in time to complete the required documentations, so that no fine is levied against him/her.
